The CANSSA Network and Canada’s Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI) sponsored a social/networking event for delegates at the AIDS 2012 international conference in Washington, DC. The evening was designed to facilitate collaborative efforts to build multidisciplinary capacity for HIV/AIDS prevention research in Africa and welcomed over 50 international scientists, researchers, and funders.
Congratulations to South African pediatrician and CANSSA investigator, Dr. Glenda Gray (Perinatal HIV Research Unit, Soweto), who has been selected to receive the degree Doctor of Science, honoris causa, at Simon Fraser University’s Spring Convocation on June 15, 2012 in Burnaby, BC, Canada.
